The highest felony conviction rates were for defendants charged with a driving related offense (70%), drug trafficking (67%), murder (64%), burglary (59%), a weapons offense (56%), or motor vehicle theft (56%) in 2000. The lowest felony conviction rates were found among assault (35%) and fraud (33%) defendants.
